Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Automotive Body Technician role. The Automotive Body Technician will inspect vehicles for collision damage, prepare repair plans, and perform body repairs including panel replacement, dent removal, and frame alignment. Responsibilities also include sanding and priming and final reassembly of vehicles. The technician will perform basic mechanical and vehicle maintenance tasks related to collision repair, ensure all work meets safety and quality standards, and document repairs in accordance with shop procedures. The role also involves maintaining a clean, organized work area, collaborating with service advisors and team members, and following all workplace safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in collision and auto body repair, including damage assessment, panel repair/replacement, and structural or frame corrections.
- Proficiency in paint preparation including sanding and priming.
- Experience with vehicle maintenance and maintenance & repair tasks related to body and collision work.
- Ability to use body shop tools and equipment safely (e.g., welders, sanders, paint guns, measuring systems).
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to read and follow repair orders, technical documentation, and manufacturer specifications.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Relevant certification or vocational training in auto body repair or collision technology preferred.
- Previous experience as an Automotive Body Technician or in a collision repair facility is highly beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
