- Manage procurement processes including construction estimating, bid evaluations using HeavyBid or comparable tools, and contract negotiations to secure necessary materials and services.
- Oversee on-site activities ensuring compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality standards, and safety practices; address issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on project status, budgets, change orders, and risk assessments for stakeholders.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam for documentation, communication, and project tracking purposes.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects by managing project schedules meticulously while balancing scope changes and resource allocation.
- Foster a collaborative team environment by providing clear direction, mentorship, and support to project staff and subcontractors.
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy civil or mechanical construction projects with a strong background in construction site management.
- Demonstrated proficiency in project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or similar platforms like Microsoft Project.
- Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings related to mechanical systems.
