Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Mechanical Project Manager to lead and oversee complex mechanical construction projects from inception to completion. • Lead the planning, execution, and closing of mechanical construction projects, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and schedule.
• Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to monitor progress and proactively address potential delays.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate seamless communication and project flow.
• Review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to verify accuracy and feasibility before construction begins.
• Manage procurement processes including construction estimating, bid evaluations using HeavyBid or comparable tools, and contract negotiations to secure necessary materials and services.
• Oversee on-site activities ensuring compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality standards, and safety practices; address issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on project status, budgets, change orders, and risk assessments for stakeholders.
• Utilize construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam for documentation, communication, and project tracking purposes.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects by managing project schedules meticulously while balancing scope changes and resource allocation.
• Foster a collaborative team environment by providing clear direction, mentorship, and support to project staff and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Proven experience in heavy civil or mechanical construction projects with a strong background in construction site management.
• Demonstrated proficiency in project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or similar platforms like Microsoft Project.
• Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings related to mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes using HeavyBid or equivalent software; ability to develop accurate cost projections.
• Experience managing contracts, change orders, and procurement activities within a construction environment.
• Strong understanding of safety standards, building codes, environmental regulations, and quality assurance protocols on construction sites.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
• Skilled in using construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Civil 3D for design coordination and documentation purposes.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating among diverse teams including engineers (), clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
