Responsibilities
- Review and interpret real estate legal documents, including titles, deeds, liens, and encumbrances to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
- Conduct comprehensive research using GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools and other resources to verify property details and ownership history.
- Prepare and process title insurance policies, closing statements, and settlement documents with meticulous attention to detail.
- Coordinate with lenders, buyers, sellers, attorneys, and escrow officers to facilitate seamless closings.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with state regulations before finalizing transactions.
- Oversee the escrow process from start to finish, including disbursement of funds and recording of legal documents.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally throughout the closing process.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a law office or real estate environment specializing in title processing or closings.
- Strong knowledge of real estate law, title insurance procedures, and legal documentation requirements.
- Proven ability to research property histories thoroughly using GIS systems or similar tools.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions efficiently.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients and legal professionals.
