An employee-owned construction company is seeking skilled Ironworkers to perform safe and precise erection of structural and miscellaneous steel on various projects. The Role:
The Ironworker is responsible for executing steel erection work per project plans, specifications, and safety procedures. Success in this role means delivering high-quality, safe work, following AWS and RCSC standards, and collaborating effectively with supervisors and teammates. The Ironworker will also assist in training junior employees and maintaining a productive, safety-conscious work environment.
Responsibilities:

Perform welding according to AWS D1.1 requirements and company procedures.

Inspect and maintain assigned personal protective equipment (PPE).

Safely lift materials (up to 50lbs routinely; occasional 70lbs) and climb ladders with tools and supplies.

Work at heights of 20’ or more while following strict safety protocols.

Report unsafe conditions and remove defective equipment from service.

Perform bolting per RCSC requirements and company procedures.

Follow project safety programs and maintain high standards of quality and safety.

Inspect own work prior to moving on to the next task.

Maintain clear communication with supervisors and collaborate with team members.

Assist in training and mentoring junior employees.
Requirements:

Certified welder (AWS D1.1 SMAW, Positions 1F–4F & 1G–4G, thickness 1/8”–1”).

Certified Reach Forklift, Boom, and Scissor Lift operator.

Qualified Rigger.

Completed Operation Safe Site – Subpart R training.

Knowledgeable in the company’s AISC Quality and Safety Management System.

Certified operator of Hilti Powder Actuated Equipment.

Basic blueprint reading skills.

Strong safety awareness and commitment.

Minimum 2 years of construction industry experience.

Willingness to learn new skills and procedures.
