Job Summary
The Concessions Cashier is responsible for providing fast, friendly, and accurate service to guests purchasing food, beverages, and snacks at the concessions stand. This role involves handling cash and card transactions, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and ensuring compliance with food safety and (where applicable) alcohol service regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests and take orders accurately and courteously
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) system to process cash, credit, and mobile payments
- Count and balance cash drawer at the start and end of each shift
- Prepare and serve food and beverage items according to portion and quality standards
- Restock supplies, cups, condiments, and packaging as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of counters, equipment, and dining/service areas throughout the shift
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines (proper handwashing, temperature checks, safe food handling)
- Resolve minor customer concerns and escalate larger issues to a supervisor
- Follow all cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures
Qualifications
- Prior cashier, retail, or food service experience preferred but not required
- Basic math skills and comfort handling money accurately
- Ability to operate a POS/register system (training provided)
- Food handler's certification a plus, or willingness to obtain one
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to full shift length)
- Ability to lift up to 25–30 lbs (cases of product, supplies)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Work Environment
- Concession stand/food service area; may include exposure to heat from cooking equipment
- Fast-paced, especially during peak event times

- Flexible availability required, including nights, weekends, and event days
Salary : $16 - $18
