The Manager of Supply Chain Sustainability and Supplier Diversity executes Iron Mountain’s Supplier Diversity & Sustainability Program. The Program is intended to maximize Iron Mountain’s third party spend with Diverse Suppliers and to support the Corporate Sustainability Team. The Manager of Supply Chain

Sustainability and Suppler Diversity will work with the Global Procurement team responsible for managing Iron Mountain’s third party supply chain spend to identify and prioritize opportunities to increase Diverse Supplier

spend while minimizing financial and other supply chain risks. The role also includes Diverse Supplier outreach and reporting on the overall Supplier Diversity Program performance.

Key Responsibilities:

(1) Supplier Diversity:

The key tasks for supplier diversity include, but are not limited to:

  • Continue to enhance the current Iron Mountain’s Supplier Diversity strategy
  • Implement and execute diverse supplier strategies, based on data analysis from various sources and proactively identify annual sourcing opportunities.
  • Provide monthly reporting to the organization utilizing the supplier diversity-tracking tool. This requires validating to ensure the accuracy of the diverse spend.
  • Represent iron Mountain on all matters concerning supplier diversity to internal and external business partners, stakeholders and clients. This includes responding to RFPs
  • Coordination/oversight of expansion of diversity initiatives to global supply chain; especially Canada and UK/Europe, South Africa and Australia.
  • Continuous expansion and evolution of the Supplier Diversity Program to include Tier 2 reporting for Customers and Suppliers
  • Work with Iron Mountain’s Federal Government team to determine targets for the Pre-Contracting Plan submitted to the Federal Government each year.
  • Raise awareness of Iron Mountain’s Supplier Diversity Program through the following activities:
  • Outreach activities with diverse suppliers through participation in relevant conferences, groups and trade shows;
  • Coordinate IRM attendance at various conferences and meetings to ensure proper level of representation.
  • Participate in supplier development activities with global, national, regional, and local diverse supplier councils such as NMSDC, WBENC, Disability:IN, NGLCC, etc.

(2) Sustainability:

The sustainability responsibilities are as follows and not limited to the areas below:

  • Work with the Corporate Sustainability Team, CST, on areas related to the supply chain. As a note, the respective category manager handles most of the sustainability projects. This position supports the CST asks and coordinates/provides input to ESG Frameworks such as CDP, Dow Jones Sustainability Index, etc. Also this position coordinates/provides input into the yearly Iron Mountain Sustainability Report
  • Support the current framework for a comprehensive Global Procurement Sustainability program. Work to define, implement, promote, and communicate accordingly.
  • Promote and work together with our vendors and partners to foster social and environmental responsibility in our supply chains, work through challenges, identify opportunities for improvement and recognize exemplary performance
  • Act as a resource to enterprise on current events, issues and trends in areas related to the sustainability program
  • Respond to RFP, ESG Frameworks, etc as it relates to sustainability

For this position, the following items are required:

Leadership: This role is responsible for developing, promoting, and leading the procurement sustainability initiative, communication, and progression.

Problem Solving: This role will need to work to balance the expectations and requirements of the category teams, business priority, customer expectations and commitments in order to achieve success across all continuums.

Nature of Impact: Iron Mountain maintains current customer commitments to establish and promote supply chain improvements along the sustainability continuum. Non-compliance would result in contractual breach and the loss of potential customers.

Area of Impact: This role will impact the Sourcing teams, corporate sustainability, our customers, potential customers, corporate

legal services, etc.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent Supply Chain or Sustainability work experience preferred
  • Ability to direct the collaboration of implementing sustainability initiatives with multi-facets of the Supply Chain.
  • Ability to negotiate industry standards and processes that best meet the Supply Chain strategy.
  • Superior presentation skills.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally when necessary
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to cultivate professional and business partnerships
