What are the responsibilities and job description for the Robot Operator (2nd Shift) position at Iron Mountain Foundry LLC?
Description:
Operate, setup, maintain, program, and troubleshoot the robot machines.
Requirements:- Responsible for the overall performance of the machine/cell. A technician will be available at the start of 2nd shift to help answer questions or concerns.
- Ensure proper process verification and data are prepared according to the production schedule.
- Coordinate setup and changeover procedures of various machines.
- Perform visual inspections for defective castings using statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
- Use air tools, hammers and/or other tools to follow process controls to clean castings to customer specifications and as stated on process cards.
- Notify the supervisor or robot technician in the event of any unplanned or over-standard part defect.
- Work with plant personnel including supervisory and engineering personnel to evaluate and recommend modifications to existing equipment or for the installation of new equipment or machinery.
- Maintain communications with and assist plant personnel on projects relating to plant equipment to improve manufacturing processes, productivity, and quality or work environment.
- Utilize delay time constructively by doing housekeeping or other area improvement activities.
- Participate in area continuous improvement efforts including Employee Involvement activities.
- Personal attendance record should remain in compliance with company guidelines.
