Iron Mountain Demolition & Roll Off is a premier construction-services provider centrally located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Serving the Front Range for over 30 years, it is the industry leader in El Paso County and is involved in all phases of complete and selective residential, commercial and industrial demolition; providing dumpsters for construction sites; and trucking services.

Iron Mountain Demolition & Roll Off is well known for working high-profile projects and serving all of the large general contractors across Southern Colorado.

We are currently searching for applicants to fill any of the following positions:

Demolition Tech Class 2 - no experience necessary.

Demolition Tech Class 1 - 1 year experience in the demolition field.

---The position may operate a variety of hand and power tools and may clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris, and remove waste materials.

· Remove material to be demolished in a controlled manner.

· Haul demolished material to area of disposal.

· Digging, jackhammering, lifting debris.

· Operates hand tools such as sawzalls, drills, grinders, jackhammers, etc.

All positions are required to:

· Arrive on time to job site with proper PPE (Hard hat, vest, safety boots, safety glasses, gloves).

· Attend briefing at the start of every project to be assigned tasks and get a general understanding of the Site Foreman's plan. It is the employee's responsibility to ask questions if they do not fully understand their tasks or plan.

· Inspect all tools, equipment, and work areas before work begins.

· Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Brings problems to the attention of the foreman, project manager, or HR manager.

· Maintains a clean job site. Picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.

· The selected candidate will be required to pass a background check and drug screening.

· OSHA 30 Certification is preferred for all positions and required for Operator Class 2 position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints or throws objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

Looking for full-time or part-time, nonexempt workers. For full-time, days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 40 hours per week. This position frequently requires long hours and weekend work.

TRAVEL:

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

The salary for these positions is dependent upon qualifications and position applied for. The salary range is between $18.00-$20.00 per hour. Other benefits available following standard waiting periods include partially company-funded medical insurance. Voluntary dental, vision, and supplemental insurance coverage, 401(k) plan with company match, and paid-time-off, as well as performance-based bonus incentives.
