Job Summary
The Park Manager is responsible for the overall daily operation and physical condition of the park. This is a balanced role requiring strong organizational skills for administrative tasks and hands-on maintenance skills to keep the park running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Services & Operations:
- Greet arriving guests, process check-ins/check-outs, and manage site reservations.
- Answer phone calls, respond to email inquiries, and address guest questions or concerns promptly.
- Collect rent, issue receipts, and manage basic bookkeeping/occupancy logs.
- Enforce park rules consistently to ensure a quiet, safe, and pleasant environment for all residents and guests.
Maintenance & Groundskeeping:
- Perform routine daily inspections of the grounds, facilities, and hookups (water, sewer, electric).
- Handle basic repairs and general maintenance (e.g., plumbing fixes, basic electrical troubleshooting, light carpentry).
- Keep common areas, restrooms, laundry facilities, and vacant sites clean and well-maintained.
- Perform groundskeeping tasks such as trash removal, light landscaping, and weed control.
- Identify and report major maintenance issues that require outside contractor repairs.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in property management, RV park operations, facility maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- Handyman Skills: Solid working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
- Customer Service: Friendly, professional demeanor with strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Tech-Savvy: Basic computer literacy (ability to learn reservation software, send emails, and process payments).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in West Texas weather, stand/walk for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Requirements: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation. Must pass a background check.
Schedule & Pay
- Hours: 40 hours per week (may require weekend or on-call availability depending on park needs).
- Pay Rate: $19.00 - $21.00 / hour (commensurate with experience).
