What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Maintenance Engineer position at Iron Horse Hotel Milwaukee?
We're looking for a courteous, detail-oriented maintenance engineer to provide our guests with a five-star experience. You'll be in charge of overseeing the property’s overall upkeep and carrying out routine processes to make it fully functional, pleasurable, and safe. Responsibilities:
- Work in collaboration with other technicians who will assist you with a variety of maintenance tasks
- Complete all work orders and fix maintenance problems promptly
- Use a wide range of tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, indicators, edge finders, drills, wrenches, and additional equipment
- Tend to all of the hotel's equipment and conduct preventive maintenance routines
- Remain on-call in case of emergencies by keeping a phone on hand
Qualifications:
- Experience with facilities management software is preferred
- The ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. or more is required
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record required
- Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent GED
- Must have strong organizational, communications, and interpersonal skills
