Iron Gate Development is Hiring an Administrative Assistant!
We are looking for someone to help the team with a wide variety of administrative tasks for the needs of the business as well as personal needs of our Managing Principal. This will consist of assisting with the needs of the rental, flip, and new construction portfolios. This may include tasks such as service requests, utility management, insurance management, coordinating with the county, etc. These admin tasks are the backbone of the organization and require an organized, efficient, and dedicated individual to handle them. Most of the work will be done online from home but this position requires flexibility to drive to various locations as needed. Prior work experience is not necessary.
Compensation:
- Job Types: Part-Time, Contract (subject to change)
- Salary: commensurate with experience in the range of $15-$17 an hour.
- Estimated 20-30 hours per week.
- Bonus offered
Requirements:
- Hours of availability: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 3 pm. This will consist of working from home and occasionally going to construction sites or other locations as necessary.
- Core working hours are 9am to 1pm. MUST BE AVAILABLE DURING THOSE HOURS. Additional hours can be completed with a flexible schedule.
- Lives locally and within driving distance of these counties in Maryland: Montgomery County, Prince George's County, Howard County, Charles County, Anne Arundel County
- If an emergency arises, must show flexibility to support the business needs after business hours.
Characteristics:
- Candidate must be self-driven. We’ll train you but we won’t be baby-sitting you
- DETAIL ORIENTED. . Don’t be focused on finishing a lot of tasks quickly….be focused on finishing tasks CORRECTLY.
- Effective communicator and detail oriented
- Adept with using technology such as different apps, iphones, various online systems
- Is capable of using different resources to solve problems on their own
- Has a car and is capable of driving to properties in the Washington DC area (Maryland suburbs)
- Is highly organized and is a logical thinker
- Works very well with other people and can build rapport quickly with both team members and vendors
- Has great attention to detail and brand quality
- Appreciates direct & blunt feedback
- Can juggle lots of moving pieces while staying organized
- Has experience with some/all of the following IT systems: MS Excel, Google Drive, and Monday.com
