The Welder is critical to the success of our construction projects.Job Summary: The Inventory Helper assists with the receiving, organizing, and tracking of materials, tools, and supplies used in fabrication and installation projects. This role supports accurate inventory control, proper storage, and timely distribution of materials to the shop and field crews. The Inventory Helper works closely with the Procurement Manager and shop team to ensure materials are handled safely and efficiently. Supervisory Responsibilities: NoneRequirements:Job Description:Assist with unloading, counting, and labeling incoming steel and materials.Organize and stock materials in designated storage areas, racks, or yard locations.Help track inventory levels and report shortages or damaged materials.Pull and stage materials for shop fabrication and job site deliveries.Maintain accurate records of material movements (receipts, transfers, returns).Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely (with training/certification).Keep inventory areas clean, safe, and organized.Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits.Follow company safety procedures and wear required PPE when handling materials.Deliver materials to job sites, as necessary.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Previous warehouse, inventory, or construction materials handling experience preferred.Ability to read work orders, packing slips, and basic inventory documents.Forklift or crane experience preferred.Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn inventory systems.Reliable, team-oriented, and able to follow instructions.Must possess and maintain a valid, state-issued driver’s license.Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75lbs. Be physically active for long periods without getting tired or out of breath. Bend, stretch, twist, or reach out. Keep or regain the body's balance or stay upright when in an unstable position. See objects in very bright or glaring light.
