Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing core accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial data entry, account reconciliation, and managing our HUB trust. Responsibilities
- Perform data entry for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions using software such as QuickBooks and Sage Intact.
- Reconcile balance sheets and perform account analysis to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Support month-end closing activities through ledger reconciliations and financial data verification.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Pay and communicate with vendors about invoices sent as well as the data entry of all invoice and credit card transactions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting roles with strong knowledge of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, general ledger reconciliation, and account reconciliation.
- Familiarity with financial software such as Sage or QuickBooks.
- Excellent numeracy skills coupled with attention to detail for accurate data entry and account analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—particularly Excel—for data analysis and report generation.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while demonstrating strong organizational skills.
- Experience with accounts payable/receivable management and bookkeeping practices is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills combined with customer service orientation to collaborate effectively across teams.
