JOB SUMMARY

Performs a variety of clerical tasks to expedite the daily processes, statutory obligations and duties of the Iron County Clerk's Office. Works under the general guidance and direction of the Iron County Clerk and Chief Deputy clerk. The Clerk's Office is located in Parowan, UT.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent with one (1) or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Must have and maintain a valid Utah Driver License if position requires driving.

Experience in: Billing; Elections; and Computer applications including word processing, data entry and spreadsheets is preferred

Knowledge of standard office practices; proper grammar, spelling and punctuation; Skill in Reading, writing, and basic math; operating standard office equipment; word processing, data entry, and basic spreadsheets; Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during the course of work activities; communicate effective verbally and in writing; understand and follow clear work instructions; distill relevant and useful elements from vast amounts of information; multi-task.
