Iron County is accepting applications for employment as a CERTIFIED PATROL DEPUTY at the Iron County Sheriff's Office.
SALARY: Minimum Starting Wage $26.79 / hour. P.O.S.T certified applicant salary will be based on experience and qualifications/certifications (current policy will allow year for year credit of up to 10 years, into the established pay range, for verifiable experience). A $5,000.00 sign on bonus is available to eligible applicants who have already obtained the required Utah LEO Certification (a three (3) year employment commitment is required). Iron County offers a comprehensive Benefit Package: Health, Dental, Vision, LTD, Life and Retirement.

- CURRENT VERIFIABLE LEO CERTIFICATION FROM THE UTAH POST ACADEMY
- BE A U.S. CITIZEN
- HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT
- POSSESS A VALID UTAH DRIVER'S LICENSE IN GOOD STANDING
- PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG TEST
- BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION
- General Law Enforcement Performance Expectations
- Investigate major crimes
- Secure and maintain a safe environment for Iron County citizens
- Protect rights as established by federal, state, and local laws.
