What are the responsibilities and job description for the Appraiser / Greenbelt Focus position at Iron County?
Iron County is accepting applications for Licensed Appraiser in the Iron County Assessor's Office in Parowan, Utah. Licensed Appraisers with experience may be given credit into the established pay range for up to 10 years of direct job-related experience. Position may be underfilled with an Appraiser Trainee at **less** than the posted wage. This position will be assigned to work with Greenbelt Properties.
This is a full-time career service position.
Job Summary: Performs a variety of full performance level complex technical duties encompassing the complete valuation process from discovery to defense of value; performs inspection, classification, appraisal and valuation of countywide real property for Ad Valorem purposes, using industry accepted methods, while observing the highest standards of professional ethics. Work is performed in in the office as well as in the field. Field visits may be over a wide variety of building, construction, outdoor terrain and during varied weather conditions. This position requires the ability to climb, walk, sit, kneel and bend in varied, outdoor terrain to access properties, collect data and perform essential duties.
Must complete/receive/maintain certification through the completion of bi-annual, State approved continuing education and other requirements.

- Minimum Qualifications for:** Must hold an Associate Degree or higher from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of experience in Real Estate, Construction, Finance, or Appraisal related fields. (Position may be underfilled with an Appraiser Trainee at a lower wage)
