Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Transcribes physician's orders to appropriate areas, i.e., medication administration record, ADL sheet, care plans, dietary, rehab, diversional therapy, nursing secretary, etc., under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse who verifies entries, accuracy of the transcription and co-signs the order sheet. • Schedules lab and completes requisition forms, daily and weekly, accu-checks two-hour PP to med sheets on birthdays, along with yearly labs.
• Reports equipment and systems needing repairs and processes work orders.
• Assists with various forms of communication by answering, forwarding phone calls, and/or taking phone messages, assisting residents with phone calls, redirecting residents and directing visitors as needed, as well as communicating with and assisting staff as
• Pass mail packages to residents.
• Set-up oxygen machines and maintain weekly and PRN.
• Take photos of new residents.
• Apply CPR/DNR bracelets.
• Apply and document Compass Alarms
• Mark eyeglasses and hearing aids.

• Help with scheduling appointments, change out charts, room change communications, etc.
• Will assume daily tasks with the Kronos system when scheduling clerk is on vacation or

Education and Training:

• Must have a general medical background with knowledge and understanding of fulfilling needs of
• Two-year Associates Degree in medical office procedures preferred or equivalent experience.
• Must possess leadership ability and the willingness to cooperate with other department heads and personnel.
