What are the responsibilities and job description for the SAP EWM Technical Lead position at Iron City Search, Inc.?
This is a full-time (contract-2-hire role) Must be a permanent US Resident as there are Government contracts.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end solution architecture for SAP EWM implementations, ensuring scalable, high‑performance warehouse execution solutions.
- Translate business requirements into robust functional and technical EWM designs aligned with industry best practices.
- Oversee full project lifecycle activities including blueprinting, configuration, testing, cutover, and go‑live support.
- Configure and optimize EWM processes such as inbound/outbound operations, warehouse order creation, slotting, replenishment, labor management, RF frameworks, and exception handling.
- Serve as the primary EWM subject‑matter expert for business stakeholders, operations teams, and technical partners.
- Provide technical documentation of process design and create training materials
- Assist in analyzing and resolving issues in the production system
- Conduct workshops to validate requirements, identify process gaps, and recommend solution enhancements.
- Support integration testing, defect resolution, and deployment readiness activities.
- Ensure alignment of EWM solutions with related modules such as QM, PP, SD, MM, and TM.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Proven experience in EWM solution design, configuration, customization, testing, and implementation.
- Proficiency with SAP Fiori, SAP HANA, and ABAP debugging for functional analysis.
- Ability to design, troubleshoot, and optimize complex warehouse execution processes.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Willingness to travel 20–40% based on project needs.
Education and Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 7 years of hands‑on experience with SAP EWM (embedded or decentralized).
Nice to Have
- SAP EWM certification or formal SAP training.
- Knowledge of SAP Logistics Execution or additional SAP modules.
- Exposure to enterprise mobility solutions, RF devices, and wireless technologies.
- Background in object‑oriented programming concepts.
- Experience leading project teams or workstreams.
- Experience working with SQL, reporting tools, and general coding concepts
Salary : $110 - $130
