Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Diesel Mechanic located in Pittsburgh, PA. As a Diesel Mechanic at Iron City Express, you will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, vehicles, and heavy equipment. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical issues, conducting inspections, and ensuring equipment is in optimal working condition to maintain operational efficiency and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Diesel Mechanics and Heavy Equipment repair processes
- Expertise in Vehicle Maintenance and Equipment Maintenance practices
- Experience with Preventive Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills for identifying and resolving mechanical issues
- Ability to work in a hands-on, on-site environment effectively
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or formal training in diesel mechanics is a plus
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required
- Strong safety orientation and adherence to safety standards
