Heavy Tow Truck Driver/Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Heavy Wrecker Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating various types of tow trucks, including Heavy Wreckers and flatbed models. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage conflicts effectively while assisting customers in distressing situations. As a Tow Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles and providing roadside assistance.

Responsibilities

• Operate Heavy tow trucks, including flatbed and manual transmission vehicles, to transport disabled vehicles and equipment.
• Respond promptly to calls for assistance, ensuring timely arrival at the scene.
• Assess the situation upon arrival and determine the best method for towing or assisting the vehicle.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring minimal damage.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients and addressing their concerns professionally.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and any relevant vehicle information.
• Conduct routine inspections of tow truck equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Manage conflicts calmly and effectively, providing solutions that satisfy customer needs.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle operation and maintenance.
• Experience driving Heavy tow trucks, including familiarity with flatbed models.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Proficient in conflict management to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
• A Valid commercial driving license (CDL) Class A is Required.
• Ability to load and unload vehicles safely, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Experience operating Heavy machinery is a plus.
• Lowboy and Landall experience is a plus.
• Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
