The Role

- Lead full-cycle recruitment: sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and retention strategies
- Develop people operations policies, handbooks, performance management systems
- Administer compensation, benefits, payroll coordination, and HR compliance
- Promote employee engagement, training, development, and wellness programs
- Oversee HR metrics, reporting, and data-driven decision making
- Serve as trusted HR business partner to leadership and teams
- Ensure legal compliance and audit readiness (labor laws, OSHA, EEO)
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5 years of progressive HR experience (startup or engineering environment preferred)
- Hands-on experience with recruiting, performance management, compensation
- Strong understanding of HR laws, compliance, and best practices
- Experience implementing HR systems (HRIS, ATS)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and confidence in resolving conflicts
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-moving, evolving environment
