Starbucks Barista- Concord Mills

Job Purpose:
- The Starbucks Barista at Concord Mills is responsible for creating the Starbucks Experience for customers by providing prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. This position requires a passion for coffee and customer service, ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile and a perfect drink.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea beverages in accordance with Starbucks recipes and standards.
- Greet customers warmly and engage them in conversation to understand their needs and preferences.
- Operate and maintain cleanliness of all store equipment, including espresso machines, blenders, and brewing devices.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficient service and a pleasant environment for customers.
- Process payments and handle cash register operations accurately.
- Stock and replenish inventory as needed, ensuring all products are fresh and available for customers.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers and staff.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and address any customer concerns.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance product knowledge and service skills.
- Uphold Starbucks’ mission and values by fostering a positive and inclusive environment for both customers and colleagues.

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Required Experience:
- Previous experience in a customer service role is advantageous.
- Experience in a fast-paced retail or food service environment is beneficial.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in basic math skills for handling transactions and making change.
- Capability to learn and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
