Job Summary
Scrub for surgery, assist in care of surgical patients, manage and care for supplies and equipment related to surgery, able to address age related needs for all patients according to AORN standards.
Job Specification
- Minimum Education Required
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
- Minimum Experience Required
- Experience preferred; must complete orientation for O.R.
- Licensure/Certification Required
- Certification as Surgical Technologist from a nationally recognized institutional or programmatic accreditation required or must be obtained within 18 months of hire date after 12/29/2020.
- Must complete 10 hours of continuing education annually to maintain certification.
- Must be BLS certified required (or obtain within one month of hire)
Skills
- Knowledge of sterile technique, surgical cases, sterilization, surgical instruments and their uses.
