What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Assistant - Rehab Care Department - Full Time 72 Hour position at IRMC?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
In this role you will be:
- Utilizing the knowledge, technique, and communication skills to therapeutically meet the needs of assigned med-surg patients.
- Identifying each patient’s age-specific needs and providing the appropriate care.
- Utilizing excellent interpersonal skills with legible penmanship and computer knowledge.
- Utilizing the hospital computer system.
- Working collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team to provide direct patient care and report patient changes to the Registered Nurse.
- Providing direct patient care to the rehab patient.
Required:
- EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent
- EXPERIENCE: 1 year med-surg experience preferred
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
- Successful completion of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant Program preferred
- BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire
