What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse - Float Pool position at IRMC?
In this role you will be:
- An active member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, working collaboratively in the development, implementation, and revision of each patient’s interdisciplinary treatment plan
- Observing and evaluating each patient documenting their observations and evaluations and providing the RN with relevant clinical information.
- Using nursing knowledge of medical, surgical, and rehab nursing to effectively provide direct patient care and observing/documenting outcomes
- Providing patient and family education
- Float to areas of Medical Center assigned.
Required:
- EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited LPN program
- EXPERIENCE: 1 year experience preferred, Medical Surgical experience preferred
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
- BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire
- Current license as an LPN in Pennsylvania
- Complete IV Start Class
