What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant - Part Time position at IRMC?
In this role you will be:
- Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Guide patients through therapeutic activities designed to improve function, mobility, and quality of life.
- Document patient progress and responses to treatment in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines.
- Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to improve independence and safety in daily activities.
- Communicate effectively with the OT, interdisciplinary team, and family members regarding patient care and progress.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards, licensing requirements, and facility policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy areas and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- EDUCATION: Associate degree for occupational therapy assistant required
- EXPERIENCE: N/A
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
- BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire required
- Valid PA driver’s license with good driving record and access to a vehicle required
- Licensed as a COTA in the state of PA required
