About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled videographer and editor to produce a high-quality launch video for our product, Iris — an AI-powered rental marketplace built for San Francisco renters. This will be a one-time freelance project focused on capturing a clean, cinematic, and product-driven story that highlights the simplicity and power of our platform.
The final video will be under 2 minutes, combining lifestyle shots and product visuals to show how Iris transforms the apartment-hunting experience.
Responsibilities
- Film and edit a short launch video that blends lifestyle storytelling with product demonstration.
- Collaborate on shot planning, lighting, and location setup to achieve a professional, cinematic aesthetic.
- Incorporate on-screen product footage (screen recording or composited phone visuals) into the final edit.
- Handle all aspects of post-production — color correction, audio balancing, transitions, and pacing for social-ready export.
- Deliver a final cut optimized for platforms like LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube.
Requirements
- Proven experience creating launch videos, brand campaigns, or tech product demos (please include a portfolio).
- Experience shooting lifestyle product integration videos — e.g., capturing real-world use of an app or platform.
- Strong editing skills with an eye for storytelling, pacing, and tone that resonates with online audiences.
- Access to professional-grade camera, lighting, and audio equipment suitable for interior and handheld shots.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and deliver a polished, ready-to-publish final product.
- Bonus: Experience with startups or previous work on app or tech launch videos.
