Retail Associate – Iris Photography (Asbury Park, NJ)

Job Description:

Join our exciting new art experience this summer at the Jersey Shore!

We are seeking a full-time Booth Manager to run an innovative iris photography booth inside Convention Hall in Asbury Park, NJ.

No experience with iris photography is required — we will train you on how to use our camera and lighting setup to capture customers' eye portraits.

However, you must have strong technical skills with cameras and basic Adobe Photoshop skills.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate a DSLR/mirrorless camera setup to photograph customers’ eyes.
• Perform basic editing in Photoshop to create beautiful final images.
• Manage customer flow, answer questions, and upsell add-on products (frames, jewelry, etc.).
• Process payments through our POS (training provided).
• Open and close the booth daily, including setup and breakdown.
• Handle cash register reconciliation and basic sales reporting.
• Ensure the booth stays clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.

Work Schedule:

• Sunday–Thursday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
• Friday–Saturday: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
• Full-time (approximately 58–60 hours per week)

• Season-end bonus for completing the full summer season and maintaining strong performance.

Requirements:

• Strong technical ability with digital cameras and computers.
• Familiarity with basic Photoshop functions (cropping, brightness/contrast, saving files).
• Reliable and punctual — must be able to commit to the entire summer season (May–September).
• Friendly, professional attitude with excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 60 per week

Shift:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
