We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Irrigation Technician to join our landscape maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution across various outdoor spaces. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators when necessary
- Perform routine inspections of irrigation components to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions
- Adjust sprinkler heads and valves to ensure even coverage and proper water flow
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, pruning, and general landscaping duties to support healthy growth
- Maintain detailed records of system repairs, inspections, and adjustments for ongoing system performance tracking
- Collaborate with team members on construction projects involving irrigation installation or upgrades
- Assist with general horticulture practices to support overall landscape health and aesthetics
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working on irrigation systems or similar mechanical equipment
- Familiarity with lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general landscaping techniques
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of horticulture principles related to healthy plant growth and soil management
- Experience working with irrigation components including valves, controllers, sprinklers, and piping systems
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and accurately
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions for extended periods
Preferred qualifications include experience with land surveying or construction projects involving landscaping or irrigation systems. Certification in horticulture or related fields is a plus.
