Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Part-time Cook/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our hotel’s dining area, providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling transactions and preparing meals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a positive guest experience in a lively hospitality environment.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with their food and beverage orders at the front counter or dining area
- Operate cash register and handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier station and dining space
- Prepare meals for guests
- Ensure adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations
- Assist in restocking supplies and ensuring menu items are available for guests
- Provide friendly, efficient service to enhance guest satisfaction and promote repeat visits
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred, especially in high-volume settings
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures
- Experience with menu planning, food preparation techniques such as grilling and general cooking skills
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation including knives and other culinary tools
- Background in dietary aide roles or dietary department experience is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle busy periods calmly and professionally
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
