As the HR Manager for Iris Galerie in the United States, you will play a critical role in building a high-performing gallery team from the ground up. You will lead the entire recruitment lifecycle — from workforce planning through onboarding — ensuring each team member reflects Iris Galerie’s premium customer experience, artistic culture, and performance-driven retail standards.
Iris Galerie is an international company that offers a unique experience in revealing the beauty of the eyes through the process of macrophotography. We create a unique and original art photograph from our clients' iris, available in a wide range of formats and finishes.
We provide an unforgettable and surprising artistic experience, accessible to a wide audience. Iris Galerie has established a network of 200 galleries in 17 countries in less than 2 years, with plans to open over 35 galleries in France and internationally in culturally attractive cities in 2026.
You will be responsible for attracting top retail talent, creating a structured and positive candidate journey, and establishing a strong team culture aligned with Iris Galerie’s international brand values. Your work will directly support gallery performance, customer experience excellence, and operational success during launch and ongoing operations.
Talent Acquisition & HR Administration Manager
Primary Focus: Talent Acquisition (75%) | HR General Administration (25%)
Position Summary
The Talent Acquisition & HR Administration Manager plays a central role in supporting the growth of the organization by leading all recruitment and talent acquisition activities across the network, while also ensuring the smooth execution of essential HR administrative processes.
This position is primarily dedicated to attracting, recruiting, and onboarding top talent for the business, particularly within retail and operational roles across multiple locations. In parallel, the role supports day-to-day HR administration, employee documentation, compliance, and benefits coordination.
The position works closely with senior leadership, store operations, and headquarters teams to ensure staffing needs are met efficiently and HR processes remain organized and compliant.
1. Talent Acquisition (Approximately 75%)
Workforce Planning & Hiring Strategy
- Partner with leadership and operational teams to identify hiring needs across all galleries and support functions.
- Develop proactive recruitment plans aligned with store openings, replacements, and business growth objectives.
- Anticipate staffing needs based on seasonality, turnover trends, and expansion plans.
Recruitment & Sourcing
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from job posting to offer stage.
- Draft and publish job descriptions across relevant platforms including LinkedIn, really, Glassdoor, and local job boards.
- Source candidates through multiple channels, including direct outreach, networking, referrals, and recruitment platforms.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for recurring roles such as Store Managers, Sales Associates, and support positions.
Screening & Interview Process
- Review resumes and pre-screen candidates based on role requirements and company culture fit.
- Conduct first-round interviews and coordinate subsequent interview stages with hiring managers.
- Assess candidates for technical skills, leadership potential, customer service orientation, and adaptability.
- Provide structured candidate feedback and hiring recommendations to leadership.
Offer Management & Onboarding
- Prepare employment offers, compensation proposals, and employment letters.
- Coordinate pre-employment documentation and onboarding schedules.
- Ensure all new hires receive a smooth onboarding experience, including HR documentation, systems access, and operational introduction.
- Support onboarding for new store openings and temporary staffing needs.
Employer Branding & Candidate Experience
- Promote the company’s culture and employer brand across recruitment channels.
- Maintain a professional, responsive, and engaging candidate journey.
- Improve the attractiveness of the company in competitive talent markets.
- Monitor recruitment KPIs including time-to-fill, offer acceptance rate, and source effectiveness.
2. HR General Administration (Approximately 25%)
Employee Administration
- Maintain employee records, contracts, amendments, and HR documentation.
- Prepare employment letters, confirmations, status changes, and termination documentation.
- Ensure all files remain compliant with local labor law requirements.
Benefits & HR Compliance
- Support administration of employee benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management.
- Coordinate employee documentation related to onboarding, offboarding, military leave, and employment changes.
- Monitor compliance requirements across provinces and states where the company operates.
HR Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain HR trackers, organizational charts, and headcount reports.
- Support payroll coordination by ensuring timely communication of employee changes.
- Prepare periodic HR reports for leadership regarding staffing, turnover, and recruitment performance.
Employee Support
- Act as first point of contact for routine HR administrative questions.
- Support employees with documentation requests, policy clarifications, and HR forms.
- Assist management with disciplinary documentation and employee relations follow-up when needed.
Key Profile
- Strong experience in full-cycle talent acquisition, ideally in retail, multi-site, or service environments
- Solid understanding of HR administration and compliance
- Ability to recruit across multiple provinces/states
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and follow-up capabilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling environment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of retail management or hiring experience in a customer-facing environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Experience sourcing candidates through job boards, networking, and social media channels
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Retail Management, or related field
- Experience in premium retail, experiential retail, or luxury customer environments
- Multi-location or new store opening experience
