Position Summary
Under general supervision, the Facilities Coordinator supports and coordinates all activities related to the maintenance,
cleanliness, safety, and functionality of Iris Family Support Center’s buildings, grounds, and equipment.
This position serves as the primary day-to-day facilities contact for staff, assists with vendor coordination, tracks work
orders, performs light maintenance, and ensures facilities standards are met across all sites.
JOB DESCRIPTION - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Facility Operations & Maintenance
· Conducts routine inspections of buildings, grounds, equipment, and parking lots to identify repair or
maintenance needs.
· Completes minor repairs and maintenance tasks; escalates larger issues to contractors or the Facilities Director.
· Coordinates janitorial tasks, ensuring spaces meet agency cleanliness standards.
· Monitors and restocks essential facility supplies across all locations.
· Assists with maintaining an agency-wide preventive maintenance schedule for HVAC, building systems, and
equipment.
· Safety & Compliance
· Supports fire evacuation, safety, and disaster response procedures.
· Assists with monthly, quarterly, and annual safety checks as directed.
· Maintains logs for environmental health and safety tasks, hazardous waste disposal, and recycling programs.
· Space & Logistics Coordination
· Assists with building space setups, office moves, furniture assembly, and room layouts.
· Supports preparation and cleanup for events, meetings, or special projects.
· Coordinates inter-office deliveries and manages supply distribution for non-central sites.
· Vendor & Work Order Coordination
· Tracks, schedules, and communicates with vendors for maintenance, repairs, inspections, and recurring
services.
· Manages work order requests from staff, providing timely updates and ensuring tasks are completed.
· Ensures vendor work meets agency standards before approval.
· Administrative & Support Tasks
· Maintains documentation, checklists, logs, and maintenance records.
· Provides support to the IT/Facilities Director for larger projects, renovations, or capital improvements.
· Performs additional duties as assigned.
· Emergency Response
· Participates in the after-hours on-call rotation for facility alarms and emergency situations.
· Responds to urgent facility needs, coordinating with supervisors and appropriate contractors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Requires sitting, bending, stooping and stretching.
· Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports.

· Requires the ability to lift 50 pounds above the head.
· Requires a high level of problem-solving and logical thinking ability.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
· Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available between the "core" work hours of 8a.m. to 8p.m. and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
· High school diploma or GED.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
· Associates degree in Business, Property Management, and/or Construction Trade
· One year of experience in facility maintenance, custodial work, or building operations.
