We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various CNC machines, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and press brake machines, within a fast-paced factory environment. Familiarity with CAD, CAM programming, and blueprint reading is essential to ensure manufacturing specifications are met accurately. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and stamping presses in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Program CNC equipment utilizing CAM software and adjust parameters for optimal performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T symbols, and schematics to ensure precise fabrication.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of CNC machines to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts or other materials handling equipment as needed.
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout the machining process to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with assembly line teams for seamless integration of machined parts into final products.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brakes, stamping presses, and flexo presses in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code or Fanuc controls.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for design interpretation and setup planning.
- Experience with CAM programming for toolpath generation and machine optimization.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings with GD&T understanding for precise fabrication.
- Mechanical knowledge related to tooling, fabrication processes, welding, and materials handling.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), tooling setup, welding techniques, and assembly processes is a plus.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers for quality assurance.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during setup and production processes.
- Previous factory or manufacturing facility experience preferred; warehouse experience is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control standards; ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
