Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Oral Health Educator to promote oral health awareness and education across skilled nursing facilities, schools, early learning centers, and community settings. The ideal candidate will play a key role in training healthcare staff, educators, and community members on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver training sessions and workshops for CNAs, school nurses, educators, and community partners
- Develop and distribute educational materials (pamphlets, guides, posters, digital content)
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, school administrators, and community organizations
- Support outreach programs, health fairs, and school-based initiatives
- Promote oral health awareness among children, elderly, and vulnerable populations
- Assist with program planning, reporting, data collection, and evaluation
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene, Public Health, Education, or related field
- Knowledge of oral hygiene practices, common dental issues, and preventive care
- Minimum 1 year of experience in health education or training programs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create engaging and culturally appropriate educational materials
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in data management and analysis
- Prior experience with grant writing and budgeting
- Certification in Oral Health Education
