What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Shop Fabricator position at Ireland Trucking?
Job Summary
Location: Myrtle Creek Terminal
Pay: DOE
Hours: Monday – Friday / 1100 – 1930 (11:00am – 7:30pm)
Duties include:
Measure, mark, cut, trim, and shape metal (steel, aluminum, stainless) using hand tools and power equipment
Weld components
Cut and bend metal using acetylene touch or plasma cutter
Assemble and align parts with bolts, screws, and other fasteners to form large components
Conduct quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications and safety standards
Document production data such as batch numbers, measurements, and completion times
Inspect and maintain tools/equipment, reporting wear or defects
Follow safety regulations and industry best practices to prevent accidents
Crosstrain in related roles such as truck inspector or maintenance technician
New truck/ trailer set up
General welding/ fabrication
Must have:
Minimum of 1 year verifiable truck shop experience
Valid Oregon drivers license with satisfactory driving record
Must be extremely reliable and work well in a fast paced team environment
Satisfactory work history
Physically capable of performing all job duties
Commitment to quality and safety
Offering:
Highly competitive hourly pay - rate DOE
Monday thru Friday
Day shift 11:00 -7:30 PM
