Role Description This is a part-time, on-site tutoring role located in Doral, FL, ideal for college students seeking flexible work in an educational setting. The tutor will provide one-to-one academic support to students in grades K–12 (and occasionally college-level learners), helping them understand key concepts, complete assignments, and prepare for tests across a variety of subjects. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing curriculum materials, planning short targeted lessons, guiding students through practice activities, and tracking progress toward daily and weekly learning goals. The tutor will collaborate with center staff to maintain a positive, encouraging learning environment that aligns with IQZONE PLUS Center’s mastery-based philosophy. Responsibilities also include communicating student progress to staff and, when appropriate, families, and supporting enrichment activities that foster curiosity and confidence.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong academic skills in core subjects such as math, reading/writing, science, and social studies at K–12 (and preferably introductory college) levels.
• Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain concepts clearly and build rapport with students and families.
• Candidates should possess tutoring or teaching-related skills such as lesson planning, homework support, and guiding students through practice and review.
• Candidates should possess organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple students, track goals, and maintain accurate records of progress.
• Candidates should possess patience, empathy, and a student-centered mindset, with a commitment to fostering a nurturing, mastery-based learning environment.
• Currently enrolled college students or recent graduates in education, psychology, or related fields are strongly preferred; prior experience working with children or youth is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site in Doral, FL during afternoon or early evening hours, and to follow all center policies and safety procedures.
