What are the responsibilities and job description for the Molecular Biology Intern (In Office) position at IQVIA Laboratories?

We are seeking a highly motivated summer intern to support the optimization of a multicolor yeast display assay designed to enhance and accelerate the selection of cross species antibodies. This person will contribute to refining assay parameters, improving fluorescent signal discrimination, and increasing overall workflow efficiency to enable higher throughput screening of antibody libraries. This position offers an opportunity to gain experience in protein engineering, display technologies, and method development within a collaborative research environment.

The IQVIA Santa Fe branch, designs and utilizes world leading antibody libraries to conduct therapeutic antibody discovery and/or affinity maturation campaigns. The ideal candidate is meticulous, enthusiastic, curious, and a strong team player. They possess a very strong attention to detail, are organized, and are keen to join an exciting, cutting-edge biotech company. The candidate will need to perform well under pressure and meet project timelines.

  • This role is 5 days in office in IQVIAs Santa Fe, NM office*

Primary Responsibility

  • Support the effort to optimize our multicolor yeast display technology
  • Conduct flowcytometry experiments and analyze data
  • Assist in experimental design
  • Perform systematic troubleshooting
  • Maintain yeast cultures
  • Perform assigned tasks within the Discovery team
  • Keep accurate records within our electronic notebook

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in
  • Appropriate verbal and written communication skills to function within a professional work environment.
  • Evidence of effective problem – solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in alignment with the desired role placement
  • Evidence of strong team work and communication skills.

Desired, But Not Required

  • Experience working in a laboratory and understand Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) rules
  • Experience with basic molecular biology techniques
  • Experience with electronic laboratory notebooks
  • Other duties as assigned

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $26,500.00 - $66,100.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.

Salary : $26,500 - $66,100
