Clinical Laboratory Scientist

We are seeking Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia, California.

9am to 5:30pm, Tue-Sat.

Job Summary

Provides professional and technical laboratory expertise to ensure accurate and timely performance of routine and specialized clinical testing in support of clinical trials, in compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform and report automated and manual clinical laboratory tests independently with minimal supervision
• Apply principles of clinical laboratory science across assigned disciplines including chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, molecular testing, and flow cytometry
• Verify quality control data and release laboratory results in accordance with California licensing and regulatory requirements
• Maintain laboratory supplies, prepare reagents, and ensure readiness for daily testing operations
• Identify and escalate irregularities that may impact test results or data integrity
• Support assay improvements, new assay validation, and implementation activities
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, GCLP, and company quality and safety procedures
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline
• Valid California State Clinical Laboratory License to perform laboratory testing
• Proficiency with complex laboratory techniques, calculations, and troubleshooting of analytical equipment
• Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
  
  

The Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Needed For This Role

• Working knowledge of GCLP, CLIA, CAP, and regulatory standards governing clinical laboratories
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
• Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills in a regulated environment
  
  

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $46,200.00 - $96,200.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
