We are seeking to fill a Risk Management Specialist position for one of our clients in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
Position Requirements:
- Provides subject matter expertise in Operations Support to an entire organization or major components of an organization.
- Works various special programs and projects.
- Attends meetings at Command level and higher headquarters when required.
- Prepares decision papers, documents, and reports.
- Possesses expert knowledge of organizational planning, risk management, and program analysis.
- Performs segments of broad and complex studies and analyses across organizational and functional lines on a variety of projects, issues and problem cases.
- Provides results to senior technical personnel on a variety of tasks, relevant to PM plans and objectives.
- Possesses expert knowledge of the planning process and project management.
- Leads efforts to defines and document processes into standard operating procedures or other written procedures for complex and large scope projects.
- Assures integrated and coordinated short-term, mid-term, and long-range planning on projects and tasks.
- Initiates, develops, revises, recommends, and implements policies, plans, procedures, and directives.
- Identifies existing or potential problem areas within the area of operations and recommends corrective action.
- Advises leadership pertaining to assigned program, briefing preparation, and objectives.
- Collaborates internally and externally and provides advice and support to the organization leadership, staff, and program managers on any assigned programs/projects for stakeholder engagements, briefings, reports, etc.
- Accomplishes detailed planning for complex management projects, issues, and initiatives.
- Provides support for risk analysis and tracking of cost, schedule, performance of projects/programs.
- Apply strong systems engineering principles to support risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution across the program lifecycle.
- Leverage knowledge of Defense Weapon Systems Acquisition processes to anticipate challenges and develop effective solutions within DoD acquisition frameworks.
- Identify technical and programmatic risks early and propose actionable strategies to navigate roadblocks and maintain project momentum.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure systems engineering rigor is maintained in support of program goals, schedules, and mission needs. A background in systems engineering is strongly preferred, with the ability to integrate complex systems and manage evolving requirements in dynamic operational environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active Secret clearance level.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- A minimum of eight (8) years related experience.
- Four (4) years military service can be substituted/utilized as related experience.
