IPTA is seeking a Networking Engineer for network and system administration, integration enhancements, and the operational and preventative maintenance of the AvMC classified and unclassified infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the network environment remains secure, reliable, scalable, and compliant with AvMC and Army requirements. This role requires a hands-on engineer who can design, implement, troubleshoot, and sustain complex network environments while supporting dynamic research and test operations.

IPTA is seeking a Networking Engineer for network and system administration, integration enhancements, and the operational and preventative maintenance of the AvMC classified and unclassified infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the network environment remains secure, reliable, scalable, and compliant with AvMC and Army requirements. This role requires a hands-on engineer who can design, implement, troubleshoot, and sustain complex network environments while supporting dynamic research and test operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, implement, upgrade, and maintain classified and unclassified network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and virtual networking components
- Upgrade network configurations to support evolving modeling, simulation, and test requirements
- Configure and maintain VLANs, routing, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, NTP, and network segmentation
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, latency, and configuration issues
- Maintain network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and baselines
- Assist with IT modernization and technology refresh initiatives
- Perform configuration, preventative maintenance, fault isolation of local/remote LAN equipment, and telecommunications circuitry.
- Duties may include providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture; providing information for hardware and software selection; and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements
- Plan implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the classified and unclassified networks
- Conduct testing of network systems and associated devices
- Evaluate and report on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network
- Conduct audit of equipment and production systems and create appropriate reports
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Great communication and organizational skills
- Eight (8) years of prior experience in a similar role
- DoD 8570 Level II/III certification desired
- Active Security Clearance required
