Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial, industrial, or residential cleaning and possess a strong work ethic. This role involves performing various custodial tasks to ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. The Custodian will play a vital part in maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of our facilities, contributing to a safe and healthy workspace.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Facilities Supervisor or Manager in day to day operation of the facility.
- Perform daily cleaning throughout the facility (i.e. cleaning kitchen/break rooms, vacuuming office areas, stocking and cleaning restrooms, sweeping/scrubbing warehouse floor, etc.)
- Dusts office furniture, partitions, high and low ledges and moldings, and venetian blinds;
- Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
- Set-up/tear down for special facilities events
- Assist with Department moves
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with fellow team members and the employees
- Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
- Required to use chemicals and aerosols correctly and safely
- Will be exposed to Bio-Hazards (body fluids)
Working Conditions
This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.
- Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night
- Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place
- Work surface is stable (flat)
- Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
- Job tasks are performed in close proximity to other people
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Work Location: In person
