We are looking for a talented Process Piping Engineer I to join our dedicated team at our office located in Cherry Hill, NJ.
In this role, you will work on various projects as assigned by the Process Piping Department. You will play a role in the entire design process including but not limited to preliminary assessments, concept creation, design, and problem resolution.

In this role, you will work on various projects as assigned by the Process Piping Department. You will play a role in the entire design process including but not limited to preliminary assessments, concept creation, design, and problem resolution.
- Develop design concepts; prepare documents during the design development phase.
- Correct and update design documents.
- Develop solutions to design problems.
- Use computer-aided design technologies to develop sketches, drawings, and construction documents.
- Review drawings and documents to ensure compliance with company design and production standards.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and assist the project team in evaluating commercial proposals.
- Work with equipment suppliers/vendors to obtain the necessary information needed for design completion.
- Interact with clients on a limited basis to secure scope and design intent.
- Routinely archive and retrieve data from electronic databases for support of work.
- Research equipment selection from catalogs under the direction of the Project Designer/Engineer.
- Ensure acceptable levels of quality and check for coordination of work to ensure documents reflect design intent and necessary coordination.
- Coordinate design work with related engineering disciplines.
- Attend job and construction meetings and participate in the coordination of the work.
- Research non-routine code issues and obtain interpretations from code officials.
- Assure that drawings and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards.
- Keep the Project Manager informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional services.
- Other projects as assigned.
- 1 year of previous engineering/design experience.
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer-aided drafting.
- General knowledge of system design and applicable codes in specific discipline-related areas (Mechanical, Structural, Plumbing, Electrical, or Process).
- Completion of the Engineering-in-Training exam is encouraged.
