Case Pack Operator - Utility 2nd shift

The Utility Associate supports daily production operations at the Naturpak Capitol Circle facility in Janesville, WI by filling in wherever coverage or additional help is needed. This role is essential to keeping production lines running smoothly — supplying materials, maintaining clean and organized work areas, assisting with changeovers, and learning multiple production tasks to provide break relief and staffing flexibility across the plant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support daily production by assisting wherever coverage or additional help is needed across the plant
• Supply raw materials, packaging components, and supplies to production lines in a timely manner
• Remove waste and byproduct from production areas; dispose properly and keep areas clear
• Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout the shift in compliance with GMP and food safety standards
• Assist with production setup, line changeovers, and basic equipment cleaning between runs
• Learn multiple production tasks and stations to provide break relief and staffing coverage based on training and qualifications
• Follow all safety, food safety, GMP, and OSHA requirements at all times
• Report equipment issues, safety hazards, or quality concerns to the line lead or supervisor immediately

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in a high-volume soup, sauce, and broth manufacturing environment at 4260 Capital Circle, Janesville, WI. The role involves regular movement throughout the facility across multiple production lines. The environment includes exposure to heat, steam, wet floors, and loud equipment. Strict adherence to GMP, food safety, OSHA, and all Naturpak workplace safety requirements is mandatory at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a production environment
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and work across different areas of the plant
• Reliable attendance; ability to work assigned shifts including weekends as needed
• Strong work ethic with a team-first attitude
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift

Preferred

• Prior experience in food manufacturing, warehouse, or light industrial production
• Familiarity with GMP, food safety, or HACCP principles
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods on the production floor
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to work in varying temperature zones including warm processing and cold storage areas
• Ability to move quickly between production areas as coverage needs arise
