Field Service Technician – IPM Compressors
Salt Lake City, UT | Full-time | $20 to $35/hour, DOE
If you like being out in the field instead of stuck at a bench, and you’re the person who figures out why a machine quit, this role is for you. At IPM Compressors, you’ll keep compressed air and vacuum systems running for customers who rely on them every day, and you’ll be the expert they trust when something goes wrong.
What you’ll do
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain air compressors, vacuum pumps, dryers, filters, piping, and nitrogen generators
- Handle preventive maintenance and emergency repairs that get customers back up and running fast
- Work on your own or with the team at a variety of customer sites
- Recommend system improvements and show customers how to get the most out of their equipment
- Log service calls, parts, and notes in service software program
- Follow safe work practices with lifts, tools, and test equipment
What you bring
- A solid mechanical background and a knack for diagnosing problems
- Comfort with tools, instruments, and working with industrial equipment
- Basic computer skills
- Clear, professional communication with customers
- The drive to work independently, plus a willingness to help train others
Nice to have: Air compressor or vacuum system experience. Don’t have it? If you’ve got strong mechanical skills, we’ll teach you the rest.
