Due to continued growth, IPL Schoeller is seeking an additional driven Key Account Manager to accelerate new business growth across our Environmental portfolio in the Western United States. This is a hunter-focused role responsible for winning new municipal and waste hauler customers, expanding regional market presence, and supporting long-term strategic growth.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in the waste, recycling, or environmental services space, thrives in business development, and can clearly communicate value to diverse customer stakeholders—including Public Works, Procurement, Operations, Fleet, and Container Management.

Due to continued growth, IPL Schoeller is seeking an additional driven Key Account Manager to accelerate new business growth across our Environmental portfolio in the Western United States. This is a hunter-focused role responsible for winning new municipal and waste hauler customers, expanding regional market presence, and supporting long-term strategic growth.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in the waste, recycling, or environmental services space, thrives in business development, and can clearly communicate value to diverse customer stakeholders—including Public Works, Procurement, Operations, Fleet, and Container Management.
What You’ll Do
Business Development & Customer Acquisition (Primary Focus)
- Drive new business growth across CA, AZ, NV, OR, WA, UT, and ID
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of municipal and hauler opportunities
- Lead prospecting efforts from outreach and discovery through proposal and contract award
- Secure new municipal contracts, roll-outs, and strategic hauler partnerships
- Deliver product presentations, site visits, demos, and early onboarding support
- Transition accounts to long-term ownership once established
- Serve as the primary commercial contact during onboarding and early engagement
- Lead introductory business reviews, pricing discussions, forecasting, and new item submissions
- Ensure a seamless customer experience during early-stage account development
- Develop and execute a West Coast territory plan aligned with Environmental growth goals
- Track market dynamics, RFP activity, capital budgets, and competitive trends
- Maintain accurate CRM data, forecasts, and opportunity insights
- Support pricing strategy through margin analysis and quote preparation
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Finance to meet customer needs
- Provide customer feedback to support new product introductions and engineering changes
- Collaborate with the Senior Sales Director on planning, reporting, and forecasting
- Monitor pipeline KPIs, conversion rates, and regional market trends
- Provide competitive intelligence and market insights
- Support process improvements in quoting speed, communication, and profitability
Experience & Qualifications
- 10 years of sales or business development experience in waste, recycling, environmental services, or public-sector industries
- Proven success acquiring new municipal and/or hauler customers
- Manufacturing or product-based industry experience preferred
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with pricing and margin analysis skills
- Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in CRM/ERP systems (IFS experience a plus)
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the Western U.S.
- Must reside within the West Coast region (remote role)
Salary : $92,000 - $120,000
