What You’ll Do
No two days are the same in this role. Guest Support Specialists help keep our programs running smoothly while building positive relationships with guests and residents.
Responsibilities may include:
- Welcoming and supporting guests in a respectful, trauma-informed manner
- Assisting with daily operations of the shelter or housing program
- Conducting regular building rounds and wellness checks
- Supporting crisis intervention and de-escalation efforts when needed
- Helping maintain a safe, clean, and structured environment
- Documenting incidents, services, and interactions accurately
- Assisting guests with basic needs, resources, and program expectations
- Collaborating with Case Managers and program staff to support guest success
- Monitoring entrances, common areas, and overall program safety
- Transporting guests or completing program-related errands as needed

QualificationsRequired
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to complete documentation and basic computer tasks
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, or overnight shifts as needed
Preferred
- Experience working in human services, shelters, behavioral health, security, customer service, or related fields
- Experience with crisis intervention or de-escalation
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and harm reduction practices
