Bailit Health Purchasing (Bailit Health) is a health policy consulting firm dedicated to improving health care system performance for all. We assist state agencies – including Medicaid agencies, departments of insurance and health, and other public entities – as well as non-profit managed care plans, provider organizations, national policy organizations, and federal agencies.

Position Overview
We are seeking a senior consultant to join our dynamic firm. The individual will contribute to a portfolio of projects serving state agency and other clients, and should have substantive state health policy experience that would qualify them to lead select client projects. This individual will execute strategies, design and implement programs, facilitate multi-stakeholder meetings, and conduct policy research and analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with a small, collaborative team and will have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to state health policy.

Minimum Qualifications
- Seven years of relevant work experience.
- Residence in Eastern Massachusetts or Rhode Island.
- Strong analytical skills, including interpreting and translating complex health care data into clear, usable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, polished deliverables and convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated experience synthesizing and presenting analysis and recommendations, and facilitating meetings with senior officials and diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work well with a small team and adapt to changing project roles and client requests, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with two or more of the following:
- Hospital pricing strategies (e.g., rate setting, price transparency, cost analysis) and hospital financials
- Value-based purchasing and alternative payment models
- Health care affordability (e.g., cost containment strategies)
- Commercial insurance market reforms
Salary is dependent upon experience.
