What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Manager - Okinawa, Japan (on-site) position at iParametrics LLC?

This project is located in Okinawa, Japan.

Project Overview:
 This is a Design-Bid-Build project involving the repair and conversion of space within an existing building into a new Secure Area. The scope includes:

  • Removal of all existing interior finishes (ceilings, walls, floors)
  • Electrical, mechanical, communications, and networking systems
  • HVAC work
  • Exposure of all structural and partition framing for inspection
  • Installation of new finishes and systems

Location: Camp Hansen, Central Okinawa

Current Phase: Close-out

  • Third-party testing: generator, ATS, fire alarm, acceptance tests, RF shielding, etc.
  • Punch list completion
  • Follow-up TAB and commissioning

QC Responsibilities:

  • Be on-site to witness third-party testing
  • Answer questions and ensure subcontractors receive and act on testing feedback
  • Submit paperwork and test reports via RMS

Assignment Details:

  • Start Date: January 5 
  • End Date: March 31 (with possible extension if modification from the Govt. comes through.) 

Spec requirements for the QCM: 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management from an accredited college
  • Minimum of 5 years of construction experience on construction of similar size and scope to this contract 
  • QCM certification required
  • MUST HAVE CURRENT ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE
  • MUST HAVE CURRENT PASSPORT

Salary : $130,000 - $145,000
