We are currently recruiting for a patent agent or patent attorney with a strong technical background in electrical, computer, or software engineering. The responsibilities will primarily relate to drafting and globally prosecuting patents, portfolio strategy, and supporting patent opinions and related analysis (e.g., patentability, infringement, validity, freedom to operate, competitive landscape assessments).
Within this group, you will be exposed to a diverse array of electrical and computer related applications (i.e., telecom networks, 5G, 6G, LTE Advanced, Wi-Fi, industrial control systems, robotics, medical devices, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), mesh neural networks, deep learning, cloud computing, virtual machines, operating systems, computer architecture, cybersecurity, blockchain, image and video processing, etc.). Your particular technical focus and client assignments will be aligned with your capabilities.
This work is more focused on quality more than quantity, thus this opportunity is a great fit for someone who loves dealing with inventions relating to complex, high value patent applications. This work primarily relates to US originating patents, yet someone who has experience dealing with European and global prosecution would be valued.
Patent Attorney Qualifications:
- Must have at least 1 year of full time claim drafting and patent prosecution experience
- Minimum BS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science
- MS or Ph.D. and/or prior relevant engineering experience would be valued
- JD and State Bar (for attorney)
- USPTO bar (for attorney or agent).
- Strong academic credentials and stable work history
