What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wellness Center Rec Rep position at Iowa Western Community College?
Rec Reps are wellness ambassadors at Iowa Western. They are responsible for assisting with the promotion and delivery of Marshall Wellness Center programs. These programs may include activities such as intramural sports, wellness challenges, fitness programs, and special events.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate a computer keyboard, telephone and other basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, use a phone. Occasional lifting of 10 lbs., reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, reasoning/analysis, and ability to work with minimal supervision, and a high degree of problem solving and high level of inter-personal skills is preferred.
- Help students learn about and get involved in Marshall Wellness Center programs and services.
- Help run programs and activities around campus.
- Share and promote Wellness Center programs and information in different areas on campus.
- Create and post digital content to let students know about programs.
- Work well with others and be a supportive team member.
- Other duties as assigned.
